Terms and Conditions for The Place
Thank you for choosing to book with The Place. We look forward to welcoming you. By booking you are entering an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions of booking below.
Prices: The price includes accommodation plus any board indicated the price stated is for room only. If you require breakfast a table can be reserved for you in our restaurant located below our accommodation. As our main business is the restaurant offering lunch and evening meals we serve breakfast from 10am from our breakfast menu. If you have other requests please discuss with us as we may be able to accommodate your needs or recommend alternatives. Please note that the restaurant is closed all day on Mondays unless otherwise stated please discuss your requirements when booking. Unless clearly stated on the booking form all extras such as additional meals, breakfast, drinks etc are additional. We accept the following forms of payment: cash, cheque with bankers card please allow 5 days clearance time for cheque amounts exceeding the cheque card value, debit cards, credit cards except American Express.
Pets: We regret but we do not accept pets.
Cancellation and Insurance: Once you have booked your stay, our agreement is a legal contract and any deposit you may have paid is non-refundable. If you need to cancel please contact us immediately. For cancellations made up to 1 week before your booking you will not be liable for the total balance. For cancellations made after this time or by failing to take up the booking without cancelling you will be liable for the total amount the outstanding amount due will be taken form the credit details provided at the time of booking. For this reason you may wish to take out cancellation insurance, which is inexpensive and can be obtained from any good broker.
Non-availability: We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Arrival: Your accommodation is available to you from 2pm on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged. In order that we can greet all our guests please advise us of you anticipated arrival time. Check in time is during our opening hours which are 11-.30-3pm Thurs-Sunday and 5-30pm onwards, we are happy to issue key cards and allow access earlier than 2pm if the rooms are ready. if you have special requirements please just ring us and we will try and accommodate your requests. If you are making a last minute booking please contact us to confirm arrival. As your departure time may be prior to our opening times we request that payment for you stay is made on your arrival.
Departure: Please be ready to leave your accommodation by 11am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged. Your bill for the accommodation and any extras or services taken during your stay is payable on arrival any extras are payable on your departure.
Damages and Breakages: Please take care with our accommodation. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant, and we may make an additional charge if you did not report this.
Please note that all our accommodation is strictly non-smoking. Any guests choosing to ignore this found to be smoking in the rooms may be asked to leave and will be charged for the total costs of their booked stay and £100 to cover the costs of deodorising and specialist cleaning rooms and linen etc. payment will be taken from the card used to secure the booking.
Liability: We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
The costs of any missing items form the rooms including towels will be charged to the guests credit card on departure
Data: Any data gathered during the course of this booking may be held on computer. We look forward to welcoming you to The Place.
